Yes, Virginia, Die Hard really is a Christmas movie.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Wow I am only 45 but only me and Nickle think It's a Wonderful Life is the best Christmas movie?  I am not ashamed to say I cry like a fucking baby at the end of that movie every year :)

I also like the 1951 version of a Christmas Carol, with Alastair Sim as Scrooge, brilliant rendition.  As a little bit of trivia this version of the movie was playing in Lethal Weapon when Gary Busey's character was in Murtaugh's house and they crash the car through the front window into the tree.

I don't consider Die Hard a Christmas movie either.

For me there's Christmas Vacation and then everything else.

In no particular order I would also include:  Scrooged, A Christmas Story, The Grinch (Original Animated version), Home Alone, It's A Wonderful Life and A Christmas Carol

Update, Christmas Vacation is still my #1 Christmas Movie in the Comedy Section but "It's A Wonderful Life" has really moved up on my list as well.   I would also probably drop Home Alone from my list at this point as well.

Has anyone seen the Christmas Story sequel?  It's called "A Christmas Story Christmas"  Features a grown up Ralphie (played by the original actor) and is on HBO Max.

Does Best Little Whorehouse in Texas count, as it has Hard Candy Christmas, in it?

I watched it. It was OK, I didn't think much of it. There was so much room for greatness, I don't know how they fell so flat.

Good news! I saw a dog today.

I don't really have a top 10 list. But It's a Wonderful Life is easily my favorite. If you're a fan of Jimmy Stewart, he did another movie that has subtle ties to Christmas. It's called The Shop Around the Corner. It's not an annual watch for me, but it was well worth seeing. Otherwise, I'll just add some titles no one has mentioned yet

Charlie Brown Christmas

The Rankin-Bass stop action specials (Rudolph, Santa Clause is Coming to Town, Year w/o a Santa)

The Ref - Denis Leary is a thief who ends up hiding out in the home of a couple on the verge of divorce (Kevin Spacey and Judy Davis)

The Family Man - Nicolas Cage has his own George Bailey experience

The Man Who Invented Christmas - this is a story about how Charles Dickens was inspired to write A Christmas Carol

Violent Night - this one came out last Christmas. It's really funny without being a comedy, and as the title would suggest, it's violent. David Harbour plays Santa.

Good news! I saw a dog today.
