I'm not a graphics guy and, frankly, I don't know if I have the time/gumption/lack of laziness to put it all together, but I'd love to vote in a college basketball poll on the site, similar to football.  I think we have more college hoops fans here so we'd have more voters which could make things more interesting.

Anyone wanna run it?

Anyone interested in being a voter?

I offered my graphics and the vote spreadsheet I made for the football poll to anyone interested in taking the lead, and it still stands. Don't really follow CBB enough to be a reliable voter, and have more on my plate right now with work that I don't really have time to take the lead. If someone does want to work with what I have, you'll need something that can edit the layers on the graphics. I use Photoshop, but I think there are a couple free apps that would be adequate, like GIMP. I'll create a background for hoops if you're not into design, you'd just have to update the team names/rankings/scores/etc. on it as needed.

I think the reason the football poll was fun partly had to do with the unique nature of CFB, where a poll picks just 4 teams out of 130 who get to play for the title. With 68 teams making MM, don't know if ranking a weekly Top 12 would have the same impact....they're pretty much all probably going to get in some way or another (referring to Top 12). Maybe something that focuses more on the actual tournament seeding and/or who the last 4 in/first 4 out are?

I think what we did with CFB really did help get more engagement with the season, so it'd be cool to see what kind of similar ideas we can come up with for other sports.

I'd vote. I'm pretty sure we discussed this in the summer even.

I'm about as bad with computer graphics and stuff as it gets

But obviously I'd vote if we got this together.

I'm checking to see if our graphics guy is up for this.

Some other logical voters.... Seth, Raphielle, Knoche, Ricker.

Who else?

I'm in and could run it if Chris' guy could handle the graphics.

Top 25 obviously for basketball, right? Or do we want to do more of a top 10'ish power rankings type thing?

Let's go with 10-12.  Think that works well.

Thanks for offering to run... do appreciate... but if Jim can do the graphics, I'll send him the compiled rankings.

Vote each Sunday or something.

Sounds good. Let's do at least 12... so many good teams that are interchangeable in that 10-25 range. This should be fun.

Yea, I think you do know more than 15.  Somewhere in the 10-15 range makes sense.

Yeah, I think 15 would be solid. Sweet 16 if you wanted to be cute/basketbally with the name.

Sweet 16 works.  Jim is able to do this.

Ricker, please start a thread each week... everyone add their Top 16.

I'll send the compiled to Jim..  we will post on Monday or Tuesday's depending on his availability.

Okay I'm cool with that, there are very rarely meaningful games on Sunday evening. On the rare instances there are, we will have to project. So I'll post Sunday afternoon, and responses due by 9 or 10 PM?
