UCF might be better.
You'd never be able to justify it. I'm perfectly fine with them getting in if they win. It wasn't a great schedule, but showing up every single week and taking care of business (none of their games were even nail-biters) ought to mean something.
Put your cards on the table

As an aside it’s been so fun debating/discussing the playoff with you guys this year. It’s like debating bubble teams in hoops but with elite of the elite instead of actual “bubble teams”
College football is awesome.
Same here....best season so far in terms of the discussion. I'll do the rankings again next year too if you guys are down.

UCF might be better.
I hope they get a really good draw in the bowl game (assuming they beat Memphis). Best hope is they can prove a point. And since they are going to lose their coach before then, I hope it's not a huge distraction. Just don't give them Alabama....Saban's teams have a history of no-shows in bowl games that don't really matter.

Yup.
Sure wish the ACC and Big 10 didn’t have their title games at the same time.
Pac 12 is Friday night
Big 12 Saturday early
Sec mid day
Big 10 and ACC at night.
Also the AAC title game is early Saturday between Memphis and UCF. Should be lots of fun
For pure entertainment reasons. UCF/Memphis is probably the game you would want to see the most.

Even if Wisconsin wins, I personally don't believe they should be represented in the playoffs. Wisconsin is not a playoff caliber club. That said, there's no possible way they aren't in with a win right?
Who has played a tougher schedule...Wisky or Bama?

Easily Alabama.
I think Bama has as well but I also think it’s closer than you are giving are credit for.
The best wins for Wisky are NW, Iowa, Michigan.
The best wins for Bama are Miss st, LSU and Texas A&M.
There isn’t a lot of separation there.
Non conference was pretty close. FSU still tilts it towards Bama but FSU struggling makes it closer and Wisky didn’t have some kind of garbage game like mercer.
So then it really comes down to the other games...the bs of both conferences.
Illinois, MD, Nebraska, Minn, Purdue and Indiana vs Tenn, Ark, Miss and vandy.
Miss is probably the best team out of that group but again, very little separation.
And then, Wisky gets another game vs a good team. If Wisky wins that game, I think not only do they deserve to be in over Bama but they will also have the better schedule too.

Can you make a real case for UCF over bama and Ohio state? I think you can.
They beat some decent teams. 2 top 25 teams in USF and Memphis (they crushed them).
Losing the GT game hurts even though GT wasn’t great this year.
I don’t know how real of a case you can make but I think you can make a case. The question ends up being, when you watch them play and you watch Bama or OSU or whoever else, does your eye test say they could play with those teams? Because schedule and quality of wins aren’t there compared to everyone else.
Hope they win next week and get matched up with the 5th or 6th team in the bowl game.
