I have to say, it would be the greatest thing ever if someone on here was a flat earther.

What's the percentage of Americans that enjoy fucking with annoying pollsters?

Yeah, that's possible.    That's best case scenario.

I think I'd have to ban them.

Also there is no way this poll has a 2% or lower margin of error.  So that 2% could be 0.  Or it could be like 8-10%!  :)

Far lower than the % of people who don't know where Cleveland is.... or who think Africa is a country... or who don't know who the 2 sides were in the Civil War... or etc., etc., etc....

I googled "flat earthers" out of morbid curiosity. The first article claimed that the theory is catching on because "flat earthers" google searches have increased 10% since whenever...

Dammit. I contributed to that.

Oh man. Jay Leno's "Jay Walking" segment was gold for that stuff. I always wondered how long it took to get 5 minutes worth of idiots on camera. Probably not more than a hour, unfortunately.

Stern does stuff like that.

They did it during the McCain/Obama election and they would talk about Obama but talk about him as if he had McCain's agenda and people would be like, yea thats great, I totally agree with that.  (and vice versa).

Its good stuff when you make people look that stupid.   That will never get old.

What puzzles me is how people can manage to not know that stuff... even if you're not paying attention, I'd think a lot of that would have to leak in, just by osmosis....

Lol, never forget the one where the lady was raving about Obama when asked who she was voting for. Then when asked how she felt about his pick for VP, Sarah Palin... "Oh yeahhhh... Sarah Palin's gonna make a great Vice President."

Yep. I mean anyone that thought that about Palin should have been shot but it was especially great in the context that was done.

Flat-earthers explain why we don't fall off the edge... it's due to the Pac-Man Effect: we get teleported to the other side...

I’d rather send you to a Cavs playoff game

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty
