This shit seriously concerns me as much as anything in society today. Not just specifically this but people who absolutely refuse science and facts. Everything is a conspiracy.

On the other hand, if he can make a friggin *steam-powered* rocket that enables him to complete his goofy mission, well...   :-)

Yeah, this isn't so much a stupidity issue. It's mostly a wilful ignorance issue. And yes, it is a big concern.

Ignorance can be a form of a stupidity in many cases...this is one of them.

What is going 1,800 ft up in a rocket going to show him? There are buildings taller than that.

There's just too much to unpack here. I'll simply say that if he ever did make it into space, that coat of Rust-Oleum would certainly offer outstanding protection upon re-entry into the atmosphere.

Oh, and if you actually do go through with this attempted launch, buddy....may you RIP.

I’m friends with someone I went to HS with on Facebook who I really think believes the earth is flat.

Lol.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

Agreed. I think it speaks to mental deficiencies and mob mentality. Both very dangerous, especially in today's powder keg environment.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

They actually wrote an article on this?

Argument 1:  Stop being a fucking moron.

The end.

Saw a poll recently that 2% of Americans believe the Earth is flat.

That's just... depressing.

There are people who think the holocaust was a made up event too.

There’s always stupid. Can’t avoid it.
