The Spartans fell to #22 in this week's AP Poll following their big loss to Ohio State. This is the 3rd time this season that the Terps have been televised nationally on FOX.

We are going to get bludgeoned.

I wish we could have gotten through the season with Piggy and Hill.   We would have a much clearer understanding of where we are at.

Yes, the D-line and defense as a whole would still be an issue...... but a more productive offense (not just points, but possession) would be helping there.

Yes, the O-line would still have issues in pass coverage against elite teams... but Piggy's legs, and Hill's quick release and poise would be making a difference there as well.

Plus if you were getting production out of the passing game, the running game would have more room to operate.

It's very frustrating.

Yeah, I think you can safely say that this team beats UCF, Northwestern, and Rutgers with Piggy/Hill. And I think they beat Michigan as well. So that's 7-9 wins against the toughest schedule in the country. Really sucks that it went down the way it did, this year could have been special.

Well... I don't know if they safely beat those teams (they would beat Rutgers).... they would have had better chances vs. all obviously.

Here's the thing... you optimistically think they would have beat all.....  I could negatively say just Rutgers.... but we don't know, because we ddin't get the opportunity to see that Maryland team.

So all we have is the current results, and hypotheticals.

Seriously? C'mon, this team has issues independent of the instability and overall mediocre QB play. I'll give you Rutgers because that game definitely could have gone either way, but Pigrome and Hill aren't going to make up for a defense that gets run over on a regular basis, and they can only be expected to overcome defenders breathing down their neck up to a point due to a leaky OL. This team has not improved on the lines this year, simple as that.

All signs point to Max getting the start on Saturday. Damian Prince and Terrance Davis are both day-to-day, so we may have 2 new starters at RG and RT.

Would be nice to pull the unexpected W.

Get out to a good start, and see if you can hang around a bit.

MD 31% for the year on 3rd... 6th worst major conference team in that regard.

MD to punt after getting just 4 on 3rd.
