I dont play on that one. I play on a Samsung QLED though and haven't had any burn in.

Like it was just stated, my LG goes into a burn-in screen saver mode if the same screen is left on for too long. Burn-in really only occurs if you have the same, or similar images on the screen for long periods of time.

Despite the similar sounding (and looking) name, QLED isn't the same tech as OLED.

QLED is basically the same as any LCD TV, where the pixels are backlit, the Q refers to the filter that goes over the backlight.  The software can turn down (or off in some variations) the backlighting in areas but not individual pixels.  OLEDs is entirely different technology.  No backlight.  The diode itself emits the light so the software can turn individual pixels off entirely, getting incredibly fine resolution and literal blacks in the sense that no light is being emitted.

QLEDs are great but OLED is better.  But also considerably more expensive.

You built your own OLED tv, didn't you.

Anyone who works on a panel is insane.

I've replaced boards on some older plasmas to save them from the junk bin (including my awesome Samsung F8500 which was the last/best plasma built).  The swap out isn't complicated at all but the debug to figure out which board needs replacing is elaborate.  The "keep replacing boards until the thing works" approach is ultimately effective but expensive.

I have a QLED. It's the tits. Whenever I watch TV on a non QLED it's like watching TV with a kidnap sack over your head.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Man I can't believe ol' T-bone started this thread 5 years ago.  For anyone that knows him, he's getting married in a few months and some jackass is officiating it.

Any jokes please DM me.

Here’s a question I have, my OLED TV is dark as hell when I turn the lights off. I know it has something to do with exterior lighting but I turned that function off I thought. However, it’s still way too dark how do I fix this?

Have you tried different picture settings? You can usually choose between options like Movies, Sports, Video Games ect.

If that's not it, check in the options for any kind of energy savings setting and set it to a lower setting, or completely off.
