My first thought when my wife mentioned that a good friend of hers was there was, if you are into country music and that concert is going on, especially with the way that concert was, why not go there even if that wasn't your plan?

Exactly. An outdoor thing, even you're just walking by, you can decide last minute to check it out or whatever. Yea, just a damn shame people can't even enjoy a concert without fearing for their lives.

The pure hatred around this world is just flat out insane.  Just can't wrapped my head around it.

Watching the videos of people using police barricades as stretchers and hearing the horror from people is just scary.

I'm generally in favor of 2nd amendment rights but I see absolutely no justification for citizens owning these high powered automatic rifles. Listening to the amount of rounds this guy got off in such a short amount of time is just sickening.

You gotta hand it to the murderers brother for holding it together best he can in front of all that press on his doorstep. Being as forthcoming as possible, answering all the questions as he and his family are also trying to figure out how the hell this happened.

She had the balls to say publically what many people think. The hate in this country is ridiculous. I truly don't get it.

I don't think many people think that way at all. Political division is real, but I think in the face of tragedies most people have a lot more humanity than that.

I think people feel pushed to be more extreme. That's how I see things lining up. The other side is now a literal enemy and if something physically bad happens to them then oh well. All this shit has me depressed. Ill be honest, I do have my fingers in my ears right now. I want no part of hearing any of it from either side. It fucks with my mental health. It is easier just to ignore all of it as best I can

At the very least, we need to quit plastering these nuts all over TV.  It's the murderous equivalent of showing drunk assholes streaking during ballgames:  They do it to get famous.  Stop making them famous and the incidence will go way, way down.

Not saying we should do censorship or keep their ID's secret.  Instead, they should announce his name ONCE on TV, show his picture ONCE on TV, and after that direct viewers to the channel's website.  Put the info there so people can get it if they want it, but without cramming the guy down society's throat during the inevitable 72 hours of televised non-stop Disaster Porn....

Oh, bullshit... it's not the case that she was being courageous in any way... nor is it the case that many people think the victims had it coming... both assertions are just nonsense...

IMO, this is just something some folks wanna make a BFD about to change the subject away from gun control....

Yep

I’ll be honest...my first thought was the shooter was a proponent of the equality stuff, kneeling, etc...and he saw those below as country music fans..which meant white, red necks that are republicans and don’t agree what is going on.

The hate is so over the top that I expected that.

This women, this piece of dog shit, does represent some part of the population. I don’t know how large it is but she represents people who believe Trump is what is wrong with everything and those who voted for him should suffer..I have no doubt people believe that. Just as I have no doubt that if Hilary won, that there would be horrible people who believed it as well.

Yeah, absolutely reprehensible comments.  Deservedly fired.

I doubt her comments represent more than a scant fraction of a percent of people.  Facebook comments bring out the worst in some people.  Definitely agree with Nickle's point that extreme comments seem to be rising.  Everyone seems to want to come up with the most clever insult (and fail massively at the cleverness part...everyone's a libtard or a racist) rather than actually try to communicate.
