This doesn't look good for Self and Kansas:

Man Bill Self might want to get out while the getting's good.

So much stuff is centered around him.

Even though Louisville was the one who got the early heat in this whole thing, I had a feeling Kansas would be the one with the biggest problems, especially considering the Adidas connection.

After Duke clears Zion Williamson in Nike probe, Michael Avenatti alleges Coach K paid players:

https://sports.yahoo...-012341900.html

“I never heard from anyone associated with Duke in connection with my allegations or any investigation,” Avenatti told the News & Observer. “I was never asked a single question. I was never asked what information or documents that I was aware of. Who the hell conducted this investigation? Inspector Clouseau? The documents and the hard evidence do not lie. Zion Williamson was paid to attend Duke. Coach K has made and facilitated payments to players for years. And when the truth comes out -- and eventually it will -- Coach K and Duke’s reputation will be forever and rightfully tarnished.”

Avenatti likes hearing his name in the press.

It would surprise me if K did that.   I just don't think he needs to.

Especially going after these 1 and done types... they see his 40 year track record, they get his coaching for a year... and they go to the league.

But who knows.

Avenatti has lost all credibility and needs to go away. This from someone who would love to see Duke and that self righteous dbag go down.

Avenatti is a POS.

But I’m sure Duke and K have/are paying athletes. I will just never believe that it doesn’t happen in football and basketball at the highest levels (and probably lower levels too)

It doesn’t matter to me at all. I will never think less of a coach or program for doing it. In fact, I hope people are doing just to give the giant middle finger to the NCAA.

I guess they only have their Self to blame.

ESPN: DOJ: Man tried to fix 2018 college basketball game

Unrelated to the main thread topic, but seems appropriate for this space. No mention of the team or players in the indictment. Would think that only goes public if the case goes to trial.

This is a crazy story. The lead FBI agent on this case turned out to be just as corrupt as those he was investigating.
