Any cocktails you like? Make any at home? Talk about it here. I just made a second circle after having some wine at a restaurant. Need to keep it going and this has been my go to, and fall is a great time to drink these babies. 2 oz bourbon 1 oz port wine Teaspoon of maple syrup Shake in shaker with ice. Splash of angostura bitters Boozy Luxor cherries to garnish Serve in stemmed cocktail glass. Delish!

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

I like innovating stuff.  Usually out of necessity.  Earlier in the summer we were low on mixers and only had rum.  So I mixed 1/3rd each of sprite, white rum and mojito mix.  Tasted *exactly* like spearmint.

Sean if you like that drink, and I've posted this one before, but the Don Lockwood is pretty similar and equally good.  1oz bourbon, 1oz Islay, 2 dashes bitters and maple syrup over a big rock.

Not particularly fancy, but a Black Russian is my current go-to.

Lot of different Mules that I like.

Favorite local margarita is from Xitomate.... 'La Diabla'...  Mango-habanero infused tequila, lime, agave nectar, mango, chili piquin rim...

I also like this one:

2 oz spiced rum, 1 oz ginger ale, 2 splashes of guava and passion fruit juice.  I call it the Lieutenant.

I've been drinking Deep Eddy's Peach vodka with unsweetened black tea.  Perfect summer drink

Mojitos are my favorite drink.  I like mixing something fancy up once in a while.

I'm a simple guy. Manhattan on the rocks with a good bourbon. Old Fashioned is about as fancy as I get.

Dirty martinis (especially if made with kalamata olives) are probably my favorite cocktail.

Also really like bourbon drinks, Old Fashioned or Manhattans.  Usually go for a perfect Manhattan.  I don't like maraschino cherry so I leave that out.

Rye whiskey, ginger beer, lime, and a dash of bitters is a nice summer drink.

Gin and tonic with cucumber in it is probably the cocktail I make most often.

I do it rarely, but any sort of "sour" with actual citrus juice (lime or lemon), simple syrup, and egg white to make a froth on top is really good.  Got into these as pisco sours when I visited Peru, but it's impossible to find pisco around here, so usually end up making whiskey sours.

I make lots of fruit smoothies, occasionally will add some rum.  Delicious.

Where are you? I can find pisco in Frederick. I make a damn fine Pisco Sour but you need really good simple syrup to do it.

I'm in Baltimore. Haven't looked that hard I guess. Wasn't at Total Wine the last time I looked, which has probably been a couple years.

Anyone ever had Caipirinhas?  My Brazilian friends here make it all the time, its ridiculously good.

Mack, they sell pre-made mix stuff on Amazon.  Not as good I'm sure.

Love those.  They used to make a killer one at Talara in Baltimore

Whiskey sour.  My old neighborhood bar (now closed and bulldozed :( ) made a great one.

Not a cocktail, but every so often my family will make a batch of Vitatus.  I've always heard and known it as a Polish drink, but I've also seen it referenced coming from Lithuania (still same area really).   It's very strong, but very smooth drink best for "shots" or just sipping on.  Usually someone will whip up a batch when a family wedding is coming up or sometimes around the holidays.   About 5-7 years ago my parents got my great uncle to come over their house and show them exactly how the family went about making it.  My parents typed up the recipe and even gave me a copy!  I haven't yet tried making my own batch of it yet but it's on my to do list.
