What player do you hate the most, of all time?

Like, ever. And yeah, I mean sports-hate, not real-life-hate. I’m not trying to devolve this into a discussion on politics or crimes. Just because of literal, on-the-field hate. So, like, Hines Ward hate, not Michael Vick hate, ok? Ok.

I'll start with an obvious one: Joey Porter.

I don't like Brady. I respect his abilities, and the success he's had... but his antics on the field have always bothered me. I mean for years Manning and him were the same 'era' and while Manning had some annoying quirks... I found him much more likable.

JJ Redick

True in his prime Duke years, but like him better than IHJJR!

JJ is actually an interesting, introspective guy. Have enjoyed some of things I've heard / read from him the last few years.

JJ's pod is legitimately good. No hate for him anymore on my end.

I'd say Bautista/Ortiz.

I really don't have a problem with the showboating and celebrating.  I just can't stand people who only see things from their side.  Both of these guys think that being able to "express yourself" as a batter is a positive thing, and again in all seriousness I don't have much problem with it.  But then you can't get your panties all in a bunch if a pitcher does the same thing to you.  Bautista's been made for 3 years because DOD skipped off the mound after striking him out.  That's "disrespectful".  But he's allowed to do whatever he wants and that's just showing emotion.  Respect's a 2-way street.  Ortiz trots around the bases for 10 minutes, then gets made if a pitcher throws inside on him.  Because he's being disrespected.  It's so dumb.

I hated JJ, but it was because he was so GOOD, and he KNEW it. And it's really hard to get mad at a guy that does that.

A couple of stupid irrational ones. Jeff Blauser and Kelly Gruber. Weird, I know, but I just couldn't stand their faces. They always looked like they were up to something.

Antoine, you picked my clear #1 pick in your initial post.

Bobby Hurley, not close for me.

Obviously not personal, but damn did that little MF'er bug me. Plus, like JJ Redick, he was really good.

Legendary Tar Heel play by play man Woody Durham said he named his dog "Hurley" because he was "white and annoying".

The other one for me is Steve Wojciechowski. He wasn't nearly as good as Hurley, Redick, even Quin Snyder, but he was such a little pain in the ass. He was "a scratcher", would dig his nails into opponents arms...Eddie Cota's arms were bloodied in one game in fact. He'd have been a bigger target than Grayson Allen if instagram would have been around back then.

This was a fun topic.

If you're a Baltimore sports fan and Porter isn't at least top 5 on your list, I will look at you sideways.

Brett Barberie?

Brady and it's not close. Yeah he's the GOAT I can admit that but I still hate him for many different reasons.

It's close between JJ Redick and David Ortiz.

1995... our 2nd baseman for 90 games.  And for a random no good reason, just hated the guy.

Even after his walk off hit on July 25, 1995?

Don't ask me why I remember that...

I think he's the last local guy that I allowed myself to dislike irrationally.

Can easily deal with poor performance if A) I think you care, or B) I don't think can do better.

Pretty much if you aren't a complete jackass personally, I'll tolerate you.

If you hustle, I'll love ya.

Poor Brett...  I can't even remember what he did..... but I still hate his stupid face ;)

He was supposed to be the keynote speaker at a speaking event at Loyola Blakefield HS last spring but had to cancel because the NCAA thought it would be a recruiting violation.
