Yea this slowly devolved into the "rants" thread.

For example, this isn't a pet peeve, it's a rant.

A few more that have been added to my list since my last controversial post:
- Two people sitting on the same side of a table at a restaurant (no one on the other side)
- Slow walkers
- Interstate 295
- Using the elevator to go up 1 floor

Sounds stupid. But the sound effect of “beverages” is like nails on a chalkboard. It’s way louder than it actually is in real life, and it makes me cringe. Like a beer commercial on the radio makes pouring a beer sound like taking a piss. The coke ad before the movie in the theatre where the ice fills the screen, then the soda pours, the fizz, the unnecessarily loud gulping. Same with that dumb Pepsi commercial out right now, “icing the kicker”. The sounds make me want to scream it’s so annoying. Probably rather be water boarded than have to listen to beverage related sound effects for more than 30 seconds.
Holy shit I thought I was the only one that felt that way. Like...I get it. It's liquid, it fizzes, it tastes good. Don't rub it in.
The "ahhhhhh" at the end of someone drinking soda is just as annoying, too.

People who get gas, then leave their car sit at the pump while they go in and buy food. Acceptable at, say, 11PM when no one else is there, not acceptable during rush hour when others are trying to get to the pumps.

I'll bite.
Out of curiosity...if there's cars waiting, I get it, but....are you saying to fill up the tank, drive to a parking space, then go in?
To be fair, I very rarely see cars waiting more than, say, 30 seconds...but that seems like overkill.

Yes. Fill up, then get out of the way so others can do the same.
I live in Small Town, Carroll County where there's like 2 stations. And during rush hour they get crowded. Fill up your tank, then get out of the way.

Ah, that makes sense. I mean, I'm about 6 blocks from 5 gas stations. I've never really had that problem.

Yea, sorry GD, but I'm filling the pump and while it fills I am going inside.
Sorry.

That's a little different. Going in while you fill up if you're getting something quick isn't that bad. I'm talking about the people that fill their tank, then go into the store. And order a sub that they need to wait 10 minutes for.
