Gold glove finalist.
Pretty cool that a guy who was considered at one time to be more of a DH, improves his way to GG consideration.

Little surprised he got it but not Mullins but one position definitely has more competition than the other

Was anyone else a little confused by the lists of finalists. Clearly some good guys in there, but some seemed so odd.
AL 2B?

Gold Glove lists always seem to have a what is he doing on this list element.

Until last year, I never really considered either a GG caliber guy.

Others who qualified for Super Two status and extra year of arbitration: Yonny Chirinos, Ryan Yarbrough (TB); J.P. Crawford (SEA); Lou Trivino (OAK), AJ. Minter (ATL); Anthony Santander (BAL); Carson Kelly (AZ), Adam Cimber (MIA), Jacob Stallings (PIT); J.D. Davis (NYM).
Santander was at 2.162 (172 days counts as a full year), so there wasn't really any question of whether or not he'd qualify.
Did you see what the actual cutoff was?

Sorry, I just saw Rosenthal's tweet with a list of names. This article says it was somewhere around 2.133.

Santander has gotten better every year, and if that continues this year, the Orioles will really have something.

Santander lost his arb case. Too bad, I was hoping the Orioles had to pay.

It feels like some of these deals were influenced by the limited ABs, which is sort of odd in a season where you only had a 60 game schedule.

I just read this at the bottom of the Roch article on Jahmai Jones (good piece) and he throws this note in at the bottom....
Note: The Orioles won their arbitration hearing with Anthony Santander, who will receive $2.1 million instead of $2.475 million. Santander would have made $572,500 in a full 2020 season.
The last sentence is a garbage comment. That comment serves a purpose, you see that purpose in the reactions to the blurb in the SoR comments below. 1) It's not an incorrect comment (it is a fact) but It's an utterly unnecessary comment 2) The comment clearly slants to one position, why would we need that context to the ruling? 3) Santander would have also made 10+M in free agency this year...but we don't include that type of a comment, right? ....that's not the way the process works.
The process is the process, I'm not actually on either side. I don't like the garbage, team-based perception management (manipulation) of the process result.
