I like Tony.  I'm not paying him when Kjerstad can provide a lot of the same production, and the O's want to DH Adley as much as they do.

I dont trust Kjersted to give me half the production AS gives. He could of course but I gotta see more. Room for both. Tony being a switch hitter is huge. Try to get him resigned. 4 for 80-100 works for me

Santander is a career .776 OPS.  Last 3 years, he's averaged .795.
I think Kjerstad is a safe bet for .750 OPS in '25.

Santander hit both sides of the plate.
Will Kjerstad hit lefties if he plays against them all the time? IDK.

I think letting Santander leave, and trading Mountcastle makes the most sense for the roster.

If you extend Santander...

Adley...  40 games at DH.

Mountcastle and O'Hearn...  1st and DH.

Santander... 150 games in mostly RF.

Kjerstad, and Mayo looking to break in somewhere.

You could extend Santander, and trade Mountcastle and O'Hearn and have Kjerstad and Mayo at 1st and DH.

You could extend Santander, and trade Kjerstad and Mayo.

You could move Cowser to CF, and trade Mullins, and have Kjerstad in LF... but that doesn't seem ideal at all with Waltimore. Also Mullins played much better the last 3 months, and I'd rather have his last year of team control vs moving him.

Clearly Kjerstad and Mayo would have more value in a trade individually than either of Mountcastle or O'Hearn.

I also like Mountcastle and O'Hearn; but Kjerstad and Mayo should have higher ceilings (maybe not in '25, but overall), and I can't see the O's giving up their extended years of team control.

Stand by everything. Hes just a guy. No potential for more than what he has been.

For as good as Santander was last year his OPS was .814.

With full-time play I think Kjerstad could deliver that or close to it with potential for more.

Obviously, you lose his RH bat and defense.

Judge and Soto also won. Three OFers win the SS.

I thought they did it by position.

They just do it by OF instead of LF/CF/RF
