Have we been too hard on the minor league development aspects of his tenure here?

No, he's just being an opportunist.

I get that. But I do think theres some merit to what he's saying. I don't mind trading the fringe guys we have either.

This is as good a place as any to post this. Duq was on with Melewski on the Pre -Game show this afternoon talking about how several guys should be in the top 100 and the overall farm should be ranked higher. He also made the case that the minor league development has been underrated and pointed to Mancini, Schoop, Machado, Joseph, Britton, Gausman, Bundy, etc. are all from the farm. Is that a true statement by DD? Have we been too hard on the minor league development aspects of his tenure here? Austin Hays, Mountcastle and several others seem like they will be able to help us soon.

MASN: Is Ryan Mountcastle headed for top 100?

RM, Harvey & Hays are all top 100 guys imo.

Rushing Gausman seems to have cost him a breaking ball. It's frustrating watching him only able to use 2 pitches effectively. I don't know what credit Duq would like for some of theses guys, I wish he had been a bigger believer in Mancini, it would have saved us money, but our system is decent considering all Duq has forfeited. I'm not a fan of his, but I try not to go to negative town USA.
