Minnifield cleared waivers and is now on IR.

I'm ok with that. He was the star of minicamp, I'd love to see what happens if he gets a chance to learn. He can learn the playbook and work with the team on IR and come back next season with an advantage. Could be one of those UFA diamonds.

That's my hope, though with the 'Skins' luck.... :?

Yeah I know right. Hall just sold his house here, something tells me he's not planning on being with the team past this season. Gonna need to beef up CB next season.

That's interesting. CB always seems to be a need position.

Good read. I've been hearing good things about his communications and leadership. He was a COM major, I think, so little surprise. He was brought up well, and that part has been translating for quite awhile.

Some good points in there, but I think the record prediction is a little harsh. Camp and the preseason games will help give a better idea of whether we should be thinking along those lines.

I'm interested to see how TE plays out, right now keeping 4 of them seems unlikely, but I have real high hopes for Paul.

With all the hype surrounding RG3, I'm curious what everyone is expecting out of him both in the short-term and long-term?

No expectations at all. He's still a rookie. If he does well, great, if not it'll be a good learning year and next year I might have some expectations.

Expectations this year for Griffin: Continue to learn the system and become comfortable with surrounding personnel. Become accustomed to the talent, strength, and speed of defensive personnel in the league. Consider failures learning experiences, knowing when to have a long memory and a short one. Keep a balance of focus between short-term and long-term goals. Learn to outthink the opponent after digesting actual game experience - film and other resources are valuable, but field experience is a whole different level. Maybe have a couple or few great moments. Continue learning to lead at this level.

Expectations in the future: These will in part be determined by what happens this year. Some expectations are the same - balanced focus, perspective, and the like. Others.... Continue to develop all aspects of talent. Continue to build trust. Outperform your opponents. Win games. Win many games. Restore levels of competency and competitiveness long absent.

Yeah, those are pretty nebulous and qualitative, but there's not much else to go on at the moment. There are more if I sit around long enough, I guess, but those are just the ones that pop into mind. Just hoping this fall that his game translates well and develops.

Video following this morning's walk-through.

Trent Williams

Santana Moss

Kory Lichtensteiger

Leonard Hankerson

These are shorter than the Griffin and Fletcher videos, by far. You should be able to watch them all in a little over 15 minutes.
