If he only cares about wins he will go to the weak NFC South. But he wont end up in any of those spots. Nor is he going to the west coast.

LA Chargers and Atlanta are the two odds on favorites for his services next year on DK. So that doesnt add up with my take above. Washington is the 3rd favorite.

Sounds like it's Adam Peters as the new GM.

The Commanders are hiring Adam Peters as their new general manager, according to a person with knowledge of the matter.

Pete Carroll would be a nice hire as HC.

I have to agree. I can't think of one NFL coach of Belichick's age who started over with a new franchise and built it up from scratch.

George Halas returned to coach the Bears in 1958 after a two-year layoff, and he was in his 60s by that time. But despite winning a sixth championship in 1963, he did not enjoy the same success he'd had in earlier times. Of his six losing seasons overall, three came during his final stint as head coach from 1958 to 1967.

The Perfect place for BB does not have an HC opening yet.  However if Dallas wets the bed this weekend, McCarthy could be gone.   BB and JJ, what a match those two ego's would be.

Washington could certainly be an attractive destination for a head coach. An owner not named Dan Snyder, plus a good amount of draft capital and cap space.

I don't think those cultures could mix.  Belichick is too psychotic for Jerry World.

Commanders are gonna get a new GM new owner and new QB. Future is bright. NFL is better when this franchise is good

They've mostly stunk for about 30 years and the league has been just fine. They can stink for another 300 for all I care. :)

Commanders hiring Dan Quinn as their HC.  Not a very exciting choice.

Yup - of all the exciting young names that were brought up... to settle for Dan Quinn seems a bit lackluster.

Of course he could be a good HC. He did take Atlanta to the Super Bowl. However, he has a very mediocre 43-42 record overall.

So both the Commanders coach and the Ravens owner went to Salisbury.

My thoughts, too. Good GM hire, but coach, not so much.

ESPNSources: Seahawks perennial Pro Bowler and All-Pro LB Bobby Wagner is signing with the Commanders on a 1-year deal worth a max value of $8.5M, a deal that includes $6M in guarantees. Dan Quinn was with Wagner a decade ago in Seattle, now they’re back. A splash for Washington.

Howell traded to Seattle for very little - Howell, a 4th, and a 6th for a 3rd and a 5th.

I thought that was a good return for Washington, actually. Late 3rd or Comp-3 value for Howell is better than I'd have guessed they could get. Mac Jones went for a 6th. Desmond Ridder was traded for Rondell Moore. Kenny Pickett was traded for late 4th value.
