Big fan of Carter-Vickers and he had a great season with my favorite team Glasgow Celtic. He even had the game winner against their arch rival Rangers!!!
Well there is an opening in Qatar for a starting center back and he's gonna get his shot to show well next month.

I will writeup how things are shaping up for Qatar after all four matches this month.
But quick note on last night:
Good all around work and nice to see them score 2 from the run of play. And they could have had a couple more. The Morroco keeper made a couple of big saves.
Turner was superb.

Johnson played well today, a couple big saves (though the one off his shin was just plain lucky).

There are no such things as lucky saves when there are two attackers with a clear shot at the ball inside your own 6. He did exactly what he was supposed to. Cut the angle and make himself big.
Then luckily they shot it where we was....lol

Though not nearly as lucky that time as they were when Cavani missed a point-blank shot in extra time.

A report indicates that the US team's final international matches before the WC will be friendlies against Japan and Saudi Arabia sometime during the late September window. Both matches would take place in Europe, which makes sense with so many of the team already over there with their clubs. Locations in Spain and Germany have been discussed.

Whoever labeled soccer "the beautiful game" obviously was unfamiliar with CONCACAF. This game is U-G-L-Y in every way imaginable.

It was still ugly, but the 2nd half was much more entertaining to watch at least.
