I hate the fact that this game starts at 10:30

While it sucks that it's late, I'd rather play 9 PM Mexico time than have to play at 3 PM in that heat and at the altitude like in 2009...

I didn't check, so I took ESPN at their word that "coverage starts at 9:30" actually meant something. This isn't the damn Super BowlJermaine Jones is out, my guess is we see Edu start in his place.

Sports Illustrated: Klinsmann: US will be 'tested' in Friendly with Belgium

Playing Belgium at below full-strength, might not go very well.

Meh it's only a friendly. A couple of tough friendlies before the WCQ's is a good way to get all the kinks worked out so hopefully they are firing on all cylinders when the games count.

I can buy that. I did see the ESPN soccer guys offering the point of view that you might want to be going into the qualifiers at your most confident, and that playing a couple of tough friendlies might not allow that.
I guess I lean to your point of view though. You learn more about yourself playing the best. I also like that more National team guys are getting experience at this level.

Good litmus test for the USMNT. I am still not overly impressed with the overall play over the past year and pretty every media darling has wound up htting a tough patch. That said, I will be dvr'ing as I am headed to the O's game in an hour.

Yeah- Belgium are good and USA has given Beasley 100 caps. Sums up the night pretty well.

You made the right call here - great game to be at I'm sure.

USA should just give up trying to be relevant in soccer. Just not going to happen.
