MLB Draft is this week.

Monday: Rounds 1-2, 7 PM
Tuesday: Rounds 3-10, 1 PM
Wednesday: Round 11-40, 12 PM

Baseball America: Heliot Ramos
MLB Pipeline: Logan Warmoth / Heliot Ramos

Tonight, the Orioles have picks #21 (1st round), #60 (2nd round) and #74 (Comp B round).

I've paid next to no attention to the draft since the O's finally got decent and stopped having top-10 picks every year. 

 

Wonder how long that keeps up...

Just had a graphic up that last year, 20 All-Stars were 1st round picks. 19 All-Stars were international signings. The other rounds were 4 or less All-Stars.

The fact the Orioles are irrelevant in the Int'l game, especially on their budget, is absurd. But we already knew that.

Tonight, the Orioles have picks #21 (1st round), #60 (2nd round) and #74 (Comp B round).

If they don't take 3 starting pitchers over the age of 21 that weigh less than 230 lbs, they get an F.

He definitely was looked at as a sure thing. Even more than Hammonds.

 

He did have some quality moments... '93 was pretty good.

Great announcer now.

 

Remember when he was selected and the talk began immediately of him coming right up to the O's. That last weekend in Toronto.

 

Wonder if things turn out any different for him had he spent legitimate time in the Minors.
