Watson is reporting to camp... seems like the NFL needs to step-in here, no?

They need to decide something. ESPN said he's doing it to avoid fines, which makes sense. Its the leagues new rule.

Hiring Lovie Smith, who was the associate head coach and defensive coordinator.
Can anyone recall a team firing a coach after only one season and then selecting that fired coach's top assistant
(also only one year on the job) as the next coach? Usually when there is promotion from within, it's because the head coach left on good terms. Fired after a single season is bizarre on it's own, but then just shifting everyone else up a seat afterwards seems really strange to me.

If Flores didn’t do what he did, Lovie Smith doesn’t get the job IMO.Hiring Lovie Smith, who was the associate head coach and defensive coordinator.

But getting away from that. This is the Texans. The same org that was enamored by Bill O’Brien, and rather than fire him when everyone thought they should, they kept adding to his responsibilities.

It is the Texans. Strange and screwed up is what they specialize in.

When the Ravens get me down at times it's good to think about franchises like this.

ESPN: Texans QB Watson won't face criminal charges

I bet he still gets suspended by the NFL.
The commish has to save face for putting the man's career on the shelf for a year.
Ridiculous.

Statement from John Metchie III
"Recently I was diagnosed with APL (Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia), the most curable form of Leukemia. I am currently receiving great medical care, am in good spirits and I expect to make a recovery at a later point in time. As a result of this diagnosis, I will likely not be playing football this season. My main focus will be on my health and recovery. Thank you in advance for your support and well-wishes. I cannot wait to come back stronger than ever. God Bless."

That's horrible, but sounds like he has a good chance at recovery. His outlook is good. All the best to him.
