I'm very surprised that no one seems to be talking about Yacabonis.  He seems to have gotten his walks under control (2.8 per 9 last year, 2.5 in 14 innings this year).  He's only whiffed 8 in 14 innings, but last year his K rate was over 1 an inning.

 

I briefly searched the webz to see if there is any type of info on his velo or offspeed pitches, and the only thing I could find was Reggie saying he sits mid 90s.  Has anyone seen him pitch?  My gut says he's the next guy up if they make a move in the next few days while waiting out the 10 day period on a few guys.

I think they have to clear a 40 man spot for him.

Really small sample size.  First glance, I was surprised at how busy and rushed his motion was.  Maybe it was a case of trying to throw to hard.

There's two videos of him from the MiL, a few years old....but his delivery doesn't look rushed to me. I didn't see him pitch in the majors yet...so I wonder what brought about the busy and rushed motion?

His stuff isn't good enough to compensate for walking so many batters. The numbers at AAA look like a mirage... Perhaps aided by Harbor Park?
