Have to like the year-to-year progression. 
Obviously walks have increased vs the absurdity he posted in the Sally League 2 years ago, but not bad by any means. Still getting some k's, less than a hit per ip.  Clearly has an understanding of what he's trying to do. Seems like a guy with high pitchability. 

He also seems like a guy who is what he is.

He has thrown a lot of innings and has pitched well at all levels.

I don’t know that I buy into him being a good ML starter or not but I do buy into the idea that he is as ready as he likely ever will be.

I don’t think he needs to go to AAA to prove anything there but they could move him there any time if they want.

Flip side is while he had 140 innings at Delmarva, and 135 with Frederick...  only has 36.2 at Bowie.  Off to a good start, but more Eastern League experience not a bad thing.

This regime seems very methodical.  Don't think we've seen anyone jump from AA to MLB yet.  I'd be surprised if he doesn't get at least a handful of AAA starts first.

Pat: Thoughts on Alex Wells? I know I’m scouting the stat line, but he just keeps on keeping on. 1.95 ERA, 2.63 FIP at AA. Can a guy with that limited velocity be a GUY?

Keith Law: I think there’s a chance he’s a back-end starter – a very small chance, but I wouldn’t say zero.

I just don't get why he is still in AA.
