Mullins had 4 hits in the first 4 innings. Supposedly, it has never been done by an Oriole before.

Mullins with another hit today, extending his hitting streak.

There have been so many hitters over the years that I wish would have given up switch hitting and just really focused on their stronger side. I’m glad to see it working out here, Ced seems like a great kid.
I think it is a pride thing. Players do not like to admit they can not do something, especially those upper tier guys who are good enough to reach the major leagues.
As for Cedric, if he can hit .275 with a OBP of .360 or more, he is a keeper with his speed, and IMO elite defensive abilities.

How many years of team control do we have remaining with Mullins, 3?
Right, FA after '24.

I think we will know, that the organization has turned a corner when we see good young players begin to get extended instead of worrying about arbitration and control. I listened yesterday to people asking Melewski about trading Means and Scott. He tried to avoid the topic, but said it was possible. My thought, how long do we have to put up with trading away good players, especially young players like Scott, Means and maybe Mullins.

He only had a year and change of service time heading into this year, so we've got this year and the next 4 (FA after 2025). He won't have enough service to even be a Super-2 after this season.

Ahh thanks. Cots has it right, Rotoworld does not.

At 5'8 and as a leadoff guy he needs to start taking more BBs.
He plays for the Orioles, so you know he's not going to walk a lot. The O's refuse to acquire that skill and train it out if someone happens to possess it naturally, it seems.
That said, he walked a respectable amount of about 8% of the time in the upper minors. That's fallen to just below 7% so far in the majors. That's a little below league average (8.2-9.2% over the past 5 years) but is good for the Orioles (6.4-7.7% past 5 years).

I feel like Cedric is growing his game and his attitude is refreshing. i think now that he is only hitting lefty will probably help all his numbers.
Defensively he is terrific. He covers a lot of ground. The diving catch on OD showed his range. He is definitely GG caliber, IMO
