The 2013 Orioles draft class has 3 full minor league seasons and there's some interesting developments from this class.

1 (22) Hunter Harvey RHP.  Certainly disappointing, not necessarily anyone's fault.  Was a less heralded name at that spot but looked like a good selection early.  Injuries have limited his innings and certainly stunted any growth of projection today although analysts still seem to like his talent in the system.

1S (37) Josh Hart OF. Appears his career is stalled.  Now 22, 2017 is his 3rd year at HiA.

2 (61) Chance Sisco C. Continues his development at C at AAA.  mlb.com ranks him as 5th best C prospect.  I think everyone's expectation is that he's in Baltimore this season and part of the catching solution for years to come.

3 (98) Stephan Tarpley LHP. Part of the UGH trade for Travis Snider, later traded to the Yankees.  On the 7-day DL in their system today.  Was always going to take a while, still may be something to see here.

6 (189) Alex Murphy C.  Lot of fans seemed to like this pick of a local kid.  Part of a group of hitter at HiA with Jomar Reyes, Hayes and Mountcastle that is off to a (statistically) good start.

8 (249) Trey Mancini 1B. Less heralded than his NotreDame team-mate taken in the first round by the Yankees.  Had the power projection if he could get to it, but RHed 1B are usually less respected.  Certainly making some noise early in 2017 although it's not clear the Orioles have an everyday job for him.

11 (339) Steven Brault LHP. The other half of a dumb trade to PIT for Snider.  Currently starting in AAA for the Pirates, got a number of starts last year and looks like a decent back of the rotation option.

14 (429) Mike Yastrzemski OF. Lot of projection volatility as things seem to go good or poor for him.  Still in the Os system (DL at AAA)

22 (669) Jon Keller RHP. Included just because he still has some potential as a bullpen arm.  Moved up and down mlb.com Os Top30 over last couple of years.

23 (699) Stefan Crichton RHP. Made his ML debut today (4/16/17)....a 23rd rd pick that sees ML action.

27 (819) Donnie Hart LHP. Made his debut last season and seems like a good piece in the Orioles bullpen. Dominated LHers in limited action last year...this year actually better against RH than LH (SSS).....but leverages a funky delivery and decent stuff to get outs.

----------------------

That's actually a fair amount of talent out of the 2013 draft class.

There may be another guy or 2 to include on the list .

So for fun I go back and look at players drafted in certain spots.

Looking at other players draft at 699 (Stefan Crichton)....

Mike Young was draft at 699 by the Orioles in 1994.  He didn't sign and would later be drafted in the 5th rd by the Blue Jays and go on to a pretty outstanding ML career. Huh.

Bradley Zimmer, top prospect for the Indians was draft by the Cubs at 699 and didn't sign.

Matt Adams (Cardinals) looks like the best 699 player to date.  As if it mattered.
