Saw this isn the Sun this morning.  Seems like Baltimore picked up another sports team.

Leonsis as an owner.....obviously he realized what a magnificent facility the Baltimore Arena is, and wanted to put a team there.

Hell it is football, sort of.  I am sure I will get to a few games.

Im calling it. Baltimore will be a top 5 team in the AFL in year 1. 😁

I'm sure the product in person is a hell of a lot better than the one on TV. If you sit close enough you probably feel like part of the action. Hear a lot of chatter, catch an overthrown pass. Probably a lot of fun if the price is right.

I'll give it a shot. Having a home team maybe means some local talent you can get behind might play. Former Terps and whatnot.

Anyone seen that episode of The League where Taco ends up registering the domain Dallascowboys.com because of a glitch in the system. Then Jerry Jones pays him a million bucks for the rights to it.

We should start registering a bunch of domains trying to guess the team name and see if one of us can hit the lotto.

Plus then you could use some of those funds to set up your own Baltimore-area EBDbBnB.

I hope your right.  That building makes it an uphill fight though.  The Mariners played down there some years back in what was basically a minor league team.  I went to a few games, and there were about 2-3 thousand people there a game.  They left a lot of unpaid bills.

The couple Blast games I've been to were really fun. I imagine the Arena Football will be similar.

Yeah, it should be entertaining.   Piece of advice, don't go to a game right after the circus has occupied the building.  Let's, just say the aroma doesn't clear the building too quickly.

Did not even realize they had started playing.

Just looked at the schedule.  Strange.

6 of the first 8 on the road, then 5 of the last 6 at home.

1-1 so far....loss at DC-win at Cleveland.

Cleveland even loses to Baltimore in the AFL

May get to the May 7 game.

Did anyone go to any of their games?  What did you think?  What were the crowds like?

GLAD THIS THREAD GOT BUMPED

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

I really would like to go to a game or two this year.  I just hate going to that dump and then to pay the ticket master up charge on all the tickets.
