I caught part of the womens game. I don't watch the sport, but what's with the throwing your stick down after a goal? Doesn't seem very sportsmanlike.

Players have to do that so that the refs can check for violations with regard to pocket depth.

It took me three different times during the day, but I was able to finish watching yesterday's game without being spoiled!

 

Solid effort by the Terps yesterday as they were the better team for most of the game.  OSU was sloppy with numerous turnovers (forced, by great D) and unforced.  There were at least a couple of instances where they wound up losing the ball because of simple dropped passes (that can't happen in the championship game).  Terps also did a great job of winning the groundball battle.  Things got a little dicey there in the closing minutes but Maryland had worked too hard to let it slip away.   Glad to see this team win it all,   last years championship game loss was devastating so kudos to both Tillman and the team for not carrying over into this year.
