Ill take a stud QB first and foremost but if not, if you can build a great defense, an elite defense, you could win with more of a game manager. Id rather have a strong defense and game manager at QB than a really strong offense without a stud QB and mediocre defense. I think an example of the second part of that is like the Viks when Cousins was in his prime or even the Lions of late with Goff. I never thought those Viks teams that put up numbers had a shot at making the SB.

That's the luck part. We got lucky Lamar developed into what he's become.

Did thry get lucky, or did they play a big role in developing him into what he is now?

Jim Schwartz resigned today with the expectation that he won’t be coaching in 2026.  I’d love to see the Ravens figure out a way to hire him in a non-coaching role.

I’m very happy to see him leave Cleveland.  Having Monken as (de facto) OC and Schwartz as a DC would have been a really good combo.

If he resigned I assume the Browns still have his rights, not sure how that works, assume it would affect non-coaching roles too or that might be too easy a loophole.

Not with Shedeur Sanders.

But yeah I agree fully. There's going to be some interesting QB movement this off-season I think. Wouldn't surprise me to see Cleveland land one of them. Guys like Malik Willis, Kirk Cousins, even Mac Jones after Shanny sprinkled his pixie dust on him... among others. Hopefully none go to Pittsburgh.

I think both.  The Ravens did a good job getting Lamar in a system that let him play to his strengths.
