I agree. But sticking with Weeden isnt going to get you anywhere.

So now they'll see what theyve got in Hoyer and go from there.

They'll have to fight JAX for Bridgewater/Manziel though.

Manziel isn't the guy...Hundley or Mariota are right there with Bridgewater..Boyd too.

BTW (Capt. Obvious here), they shouldn't have taken Weeden in 2012.

The Browns play the Jags on December 1.  I'm predicting a low scoring affair.

I'd take Bridgewater. Boyd is very intriguing, though I'd have to see him be a better pocket passer in order to invest a top 5 pick in him. It's perfectly fine to be a mobile QB, but at the end of the day, you have to be able to stick in the pocket and throw.

Bottom line, like NMS said, you're not going anywhere with Weeden. They're about a 5 or 6 win team at best with him. Who cares how good Richardson is in that scenario?

You have to have a franchise QB. They certainly could miss on whoever they take, but this is potentially a pretty good class for quarterbacks, so they should have a shot at getting someone they like. It's a risky move, for sure, but I like it.

So last year the Browns spent first round picks on Richardson and Weeden. Richardson is a Colt and Weeden is likely done in Cleveland. So that fast they've turned two top 22 picks into a total zero.

I understand the FO decision, and I understand that they weren't your guys. But man, that's got to suck for fans...to see their draft picks basically get wasted like that. Makes you wonder if the new regime will be able to do any better with their 2 first rounders in 2014.

Hundley is the guy that sounds the most intriguing.

Definitely agree. All depends on what kind of offense the Browns want to run. The Richardson trade actually isn't as bad as I thought it was if the Browns didn't think he was a fit. Probably could have gotten more, but hindsight is 20/20. They basically get to pick their QB no matter how bad or good they do since they can always move up with their extra first round pick. They're in a good situation to rebuild with numerous draft picks in next year's draft. Now it's up to the front office to draft the right guys.

Feel pretty bad for Hoyer who tore his ACL in the game last night. He really looked good for them. Now it's back to the Weeden show in Cleveland.

Yeah, and who knows if he ever gets a legit chance again? Really sucks.

Yep....gotta feel bad for him. Just as he looked like he could be making a name for himself.

But, there is plenty of poor QB play in this league..so, maybe he will get that chance again.

Benjamin out for season after tearing ACL...  Campbell starting again... Weeden likely done with the Browns.

"Cleveland QBs have thrown for 3,943 yards, 24 TDs and 17 INTs this season? If Jasobriandon Campoyereeden were a person, he'd be sixth in the NFL in passing yards and seventh in TDs."

Better production than Flacco. Having Josh Morgan helps too.

The flip-side of that is the Browns have a whopping 4 rushing TD's for the season (including the one they got today).

When the Browns select a new coach this offseason that will make the past 4 coaching hires in the AFC North all hired by the Brownies.  Keep it up Cleveland!

So the Bronws won all the games started by Hoyer (3) and then beat the Ravens for their only other non-Hoyer started game.

Gotta think that had Hoyer stayed healthy they could have gone 7-9 or 8-8.

Wow:

Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 6m

All-Pro teams announced today. Teams with most All-Pros: KC, SF and CLEV, each with five. So Browns job might actually be good one.

Nah, it's not. They have a good young TE, WR, CB and two good lineman. No QB though. And a terrible front office.
