An all timer blunder from Georgia. I mean you just play D and probably have a sizable FG for a kicker who just chocked on a 36 yarder that would have won the game in regulation. What an extraordinary gaffe!

That play was almost like watching the Ravens.
And you thought you wouldn't see them in the postseason.

The biggest downside to going with the cord-cutting route is that whatever I use to watch live TV on my Roku--Sling TV, or in this case WatchESPN--I'm always 20 seconds behind.
The main thing that bothers me about it (vs. a DVR) is the loss of precise control of rewind (for homemade instant replay and slo-mo) and fast-forward (to skip commercials). Even when a streaming service offers that, it's slow and awkward... there's an unnatural delay in response to button-pushes so you're always guessing, and it's lots harder to get it right.
I wish they'd put a buffer in the boxes that could do a temp recording locally so that stuff would work right. It shouldn't require button-timing skills to do a replay or an ad-skip.

Great game....I know all the Alabama haters are sick this morning, but credit the kid, who came in and played free and easy. Georgia blew the coverage late, but nice job looking off the safety, enough to keep him out of the play.
Hate Alabama and Saban all you want, but they are a true dynasty.
As for Saban, gutsy move, and it won them the game.

Nick Chubb doing nothing in this game was a big factor in UGA losing.

Georgia's O-line vs. Alabama's Front 7.
Even the best rushing attacks have trouble.

But Michel had a good game.Georgia's O-line vs. Alabama's Front 7.
Even the best rushing attacks have trouble.
18 carries for 25 yards for Chubb...needed to be better than that.

Seriously, what a fantastic game. So many storylines, so much to like.
I love seeing that kid become a legend in just one game. It's just everything that's right with sports.
One "ugh" moment from the game. Dunno who #48 for Bama was, but he got really, REALLY close to slugging a coach on the sideline. He had to get pulled back by another player. Well, he came back in and made an insane play on the kickoff (where he literally one-arm dragged the returner at the 12 or so). Good play, but holy crap, they let him keep playing?

Most game summary articles bore me... but I think this one captures what was special about it very, very well....
The headline misses the point, but the article nails it...

I generally like the tenor of the announcers who did the game... but Herbstreit did his usual trick of seeing a play, commenting on what happened in it, then narrating the replay which shows he was wrong about what happened... but he narrates it like he was right anyway despite the evidence in the replay proving him wrong...
But my favorite goof was when they were talking about Saban, saying now that he's tied the Bear, what else does he have to keep coaching for?
(Um, maybe to win *more* than anybody else ever, no matter who they are?)
