It's hard to imagine him recruiting, but he himself is one of the most transactional coaches/player personnel guys we've had.
Oh for sure, but I can't see him wanting to sign up for a gig where that totally goes both ways. You're not just recruiting HS kids now, you have to re-recruit your whole roster every year. I know his brand and NFL background can sort of recruit itself, but even with that plus NIL a lot of players still say they want a coach who builds a relationship with them. That ain't BB.

I agree that he wouldn't love a taste of his own medicine.

Then again I forgot about the co-ed angle. He loves the 50+year age gap
This legit made me lol

New Mexico head coach Bronco Mendenhall is leaving to take the head coaching job at Utah State. The Aggies were lead this season by interim coach Nate Dreiling after Blake Anderson was fired in July for violating school policy regarding an investigation into sexual assault.

Pete Thamel is reporting that Oklahoma State is trying to strong-arm Mike Gundy into accepting a restructured contract that is expected to include a pay cut. If Gundy does not accept the deal, OSU is considering firing him for cause....what that cause might be is not mentioned.
Gundy just finished his 20th season as OSU head coach and is still owed about $25M on his existing contract. The Cowboys were just 3-9 this season, and winless in Big 12 play.

Gundy has some sort of rolling extension built into his current deal, right? It’s like a permanent 5-year contract, so in theory they’d owe him the same buyout no matter when they fire him, unless they come up with some sort of cause.Pete Thamel is reporting that Oklahoma State is trying to strong-arm Mike Gundy into accepting a restructured contract that is expected to include a pay cut. I saw some reports that they were targeting Brennan Marion as their OC, maybe they can just give him the head job. He’s certainly done more than enough time as a college assistant.

Gundy and OSU have a greed to a restructured contract, which will include a reduction in pay. The amount his salary is reduced by will go into revenue sharing for the players next season.

Just one day after winning the Sun Belt title with Marshall, head coach Charles Huff announced he's leaving to take the Southern Miss job.
Marshall took the unusual step of allowing Huff's contract to expire, despite him leading the Herd to their first 10-win season since 2015. Huff was 32-20 overall in his four seasons.
Update: Just saw Marshall announced they've hired NC State defensive coordinator Tony Gibson to replace Huff. Sounds like this had been in the works for a while.

For sure he'll bring his kid from UW to be the defensive coordinator. Have fun working with a unit that JMU hung a seventyburger on this season.
