The bloodbath at Florida State has begun. Mike Norvell has fired both his offensive and defensive coordinators (Alex Atkins and Adam Fuller, respectively) and WR coach Ron Dugans. The Noles are now 1-9, their most losses in a season since 1974.

Baylor announces Dave Aranda will return next season. Impressive job by him, after many had him at or near the top of their “hot seat” lists before the year began.
His seat was the hottest in college football this side of Gainesville. And now both he and Napier have seen their schools announce they will return next season.
Meanwhile, Brian Kelly might want to cancel plans to build any additions on his home in Baton Rouge after the way things went today.

The curse of the Owl continues! Being reported that Tom Herman is out at Florida Atlantic. If so, that would be the 4th "owl" team to fire their head coach this season, joining Kennesaw State, Rice and Temple.

Charlotte has fired Baltimore native and St Frances Academy benefactor Biff Poggi. By my count Charlotte is the 5th AAC school to fire their head coach this season. Poggi was 6-16 and did not even complete his second season. Guess the sleeveless t-shirts were not a big hit in the Queen City.

Make that six AAC schools now, as Tulsa has fired Kevin Wilson. Can’t remember literally half a conference firing their coaches in the same season.

Mack Brown after spending a season acting like a guy who’s ready to retire: “I don’t wanna retire.”
UNC: “Yeah you do.”

With that announcement, Kirby Smart and Dabo Swinney are now the only active college head coaches with a national championship.

Multiple outlets have reported Bill Belichick interviewed for the UNC job. Could never envision him coaching college before, and I especially can't see it now with how transactional and transient sport has become.

It's hard to imagine him recruiting, but he himself is one of the most transactional coaches/player personnel guys we've had.
