It's not a head coach firing, but Rutgers let go of their offensive coordinator today, Sean Gleeson. Gleeson will be replaced by tight ends coach Nunzio Campanile. The only reason I posted this is because Nunzio Campanile is about as Jersey a name as you could ever make up.

Wasn’t he the interim head coach a few years ago after they fired Ash? Pretty sure he was a longtime New Jersey high school coach.

I think he coached at Bergen Catholic, so yeah. Was probably a stand-in on Jersey Shore at some point too.

Matt Rhule was let go by Carolina. Go ahead and assume his name will be tied to just about every Power 5 opening. He won at Temple and inherited a disaster at Baylor and won there too.

Auburn has fired Bryan Harsin. Probably not a coincidence it happened shortly after word spread of the hiring of their new AD.
Harsin will be owed a $15.5 million buyout, half of which is due in 30 days.

Kiffin is denying the reports, so we’ll see where this goes.

The reporter who tweeted it is from Starkville, and it's Egg Bowl week. Take that for what it's worth.

Sounds like Nebraska has zeroed in on Matt Rhule.
Pete Thamel reports they are negotiating dollars, and that the $34m Carolina owes him comes into play somehow.
Meanwhile, as all this is apparently going on, Nebraska has a 17-0 lead over Iowa.

Rhule officially hired at Nebraska.
Auburn thought to be hiring Hugh Freeze.

So if you can’t get the current Ole Miss coach, go get the one who had to leave to coach Liberty instead? Strange times at Auburn. Sucks. Hugh Freeze could work out though, but still this is pretty telling about how far and how quickly they have fallen in a very short amount of time.Rhule officially hired at Nebraska.

Just ridiculous to replace a coach who was disgraced for sexual impropriety with a guy coaching a school that’s barely in D1 who had to leave the SEC over sexual impropriety. Good look guys. War Eagle.

Oregon OC Kenny Dillingham is expected to become the next head coach at Arizona State. He never played but ASU is his alma mater.
If he gets it, he will become the youngest P5 head coach at 32 years old. Right now the youngest P5 head coach is Dillingham's current boss, Dan Lanning (36).

David Shaw says he’s coached his last game at Stanford, and will retire.
I bet he comes back somewhere eventually. Stanford is a tough place to win. Even tougher with the transfer portal…..you seriously have better odds of getting admitted there than transferring in. Yet he still went 96-54 with three conference titles.
