For the Pens, yes.

 

 

This is where the narrative changes.  Caps have been the better team for pretty much the entire series and the past couple of games they've been getting the results as well.  Pens are tired and worn down and the Caps are playing like the dominant team we saw from them in the regular season.  Can anything happen in one game, yes.   But this year and this team is different.  Hell I'll even say this, if they win tonight they make it to the SCF because the Sens are a much easier matchup than the Rags.  I won't predict a score but I'll say the Caps win it.

You could see that one coming.   Play was getting too up and down and wide open.   When the Caps have kept up their forecheck that's given them quality chances and limited Pittsburgh.  20 minutes to go, need a goal if only for the fact to wipe that shit eating grin off of Fleury's face.

It's misdirection really. They are going to go with 7 DEF, which means one forward has to double shift to make it work, and it's going to be Alex. They were trying to get that line used to playing with each other before it's thrown together in the game. Ovi will have a ton of ice time tonight, give him the chance to put the team on his back.

And bnick is right.  The Caps like to utterly destroy my hopes and dreams in the most painful and crushing way possible, so the series is going to go to 7 and we're going to lose in OT in that last game from Crosby.

Wow the Caps have never made it past second round since 98. So that's almost 20 years with them being a very good team through most of those years. That's pretty sad. Feel bad for Caps fans. But watch them win it all as a #8 team no one expects anything out of. That's all I got.
