InsideMDSports: Terps Suffer First Major Injury

http://maryland.247s...Injury-47821981

Starting safety Denzel Conyers has torn his ACL and will miss the rest of the year. Josh Woods will start in his place.

Dagger. The secondary was already paper thin. Let's see how... Jake Funk does getting serious minutes at safety.

Washington Post: Maryland football continues rotating offensive linemen in defiance of convention

You're starting to see this more and more across the country with teams who run up-tempo offenses. You're subbing in different skill players, so why not sub in some fresh linemen?

Washington Post: Terps quarterback Perry Hills is 'ready to go' for Purdue

As expected, Hills will start against the Boilermakers. He's officially listed as "probable".

A few changes to the depth chart this week.

  • Wes Brown has returned after serving his three-game suspension. He's listed as a co-backup at RB.
  • Jahrvis Davenport is no longer on the depth chart. DeAndre Lane is listed twice (once as a starter in the Slot, once as a backup at Split End).
  • Nnamdi Egbuaba is now listed as a co-backup at Buck.
  • Antoine Brooks is no longer on the depth chart. Brett Shepherd is listed twice (as a backup at Sam and as a co-backup at Will).
  • Josh Woods replaces Denzel Conyers, and is starting at Safety.
  • Elijah Daniels moves into a backup role at the opposite Safety position.

I know it means nothing, but it's interesting that Lorenzo Harrison is listed last among running backs. Even behind Jake Funk

Coming off the bye, you have to win this game at home.

You get this W, then the next two weeks become real interesting.

That'd be JC Jackson. He only missed the Howard game, and has started in both the FIU and UCF games. He'll start again on Saturday.

Hey McNulty, or anyone else, got a stream for this game? Looks like the BTN on my Vue subscription is only giving me Minnesota/PSU.

EDIT: Found one.

Purdue got into MD territory on its first possession, but had to punt. Terps ball at the 13.

It was going to end at some point. Hills throws a pick, and Purdue has the ball near the red zone. Terrible decision by Hills throwing into traffic in the middle. He had Brown in the flat who probably could have got the 1st Down.

Terps were offsides there. Hand Purdue a 1st Down. Bad start.
