We are one month away (more or less) from college football!  That means it's time for the return of Pedro's Pickz!!!  This year I am GUARANTEEING not only a winning record, but that I will also beat Mike Randall!

I'm also gonna scrap the NFL bonus game but I will, since I'm a nice guy, continue to give Shack his Georgia Tech pick every week.

It's baaaaaack! I can't fucking believe it. COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS HERE!!!!

For years I stated that I liked the NFL more than college football. Then I got into the pageantry, the rivalries, the gambling. And I fell in love. Now I love college football much more than the NFL. Nothing is better than waking up, checking lines, making plays, watching game day, Then the noon games, usually a solid big 10 game (michigan state vs. wisconsin), followed by an unreal 330 slate, night games and a late night pac 12 tilt. It's great. Saturdays in the fall are great. And the best part? YOU CAN GAMBLE ON ALL OF IT. Don't get me wrong, betting on the NFL is fun, but not like college.

This year, the Pickz are back -- play me or fade me. After a slow start last year, I finished 44-39. Which is respectable. I did a LOT better in real life (the pickz are only my favorite plays, but I usually bet more than six games). Randall, on the other hand, was god-like, putting up 12-2 weeks like it was nothing. This year, I will beat him, and beat him bad. I am scratching the NFL bonus game and doing 6 college games instead.

I will also do the RShack Georgia Tech prediction at no extra charge!

Go ahead an add Howard +50.5 @ Maryland. I have a hard time believing Maryland can score 51, much less 58 if they allow a TD, or 61 if they allow 10 points.

Also keeping an eye on the Clemson line. Seen it from -7.5 to -9.5. If it drops to -7 even, I'd take it.

The Pickz are off the a blazing hot start! A 4-1-1 weekend is just what the doctor ordered in this brand spanking new season.

Here are my six best plays this weekend, not too confident in these, it's just not a board I love. PLAY ME OR FADE ME!!! (and as an aside, what a GROSS slate of games this week!)

-Western Kentucky at Alabama OVER 61.5 L
-Mississippi State (+.5) and Virginia Tech (+18.5) TEASE L
-North Carolina (-9) at Illinois W
-USC (-16.5) vs. Utah State W
-Iowa (-15) vs. Iowa State W

Shack is playing an FCS school and is thus not offered

Don't know what to think of the USC / Utah State game.  USC has plus talent, should be ticked... would think they would want to show something. But that's a decent spread, and Utah State is typically competitive in recent years. Know they want to run a lot... if USC controls their ground attack, game probably gets out of hand... if Utah State is able to run, or if USC is mentally out of it after getting their ass handed to them... Utah State may hang around.

Staying away from the two tonight. I'd be more inclined to take MD if it were a single digit line (MD -11.5).

Think the over/under in Louisville @ Syracuse is just right at 71.
