And why?

Memorable Orioles season?

Did you get your drivers license?

Special event?

Graduate high school?

Marriage?

Birth of children?

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Tough to say, but honestly despite that my life is far too hectic and busy right now (something we're trying to correct as a family), I'm enjoying my life now.  My kids are old enough to be somewhat independent and fun (i.e. they can get themselves dressed and bathe themselves and such), but not so old that I need to worry about what they're doing, or bullying at school, or who they're hanging out with, or any of those problems that come as they get older.  Just trying to soak in every second of it.  Enjoy every baseball game, every soccer practice, every school concert, etc.

2014. I got married, bought a house, and went to game 2 of the ALDS. Probabaly some other things, remember it being a great year.

Other than that, 2003-2007 couldn't have been better. I left home for the Coast Guard, and being someplace new all on your own really makes you grow up fast. I owe a debt of gratitude to so many people that came and went in my life through that time. Helped me become a better person. Learned a lot about being an adult, being profesional when necessary. But also worked hard/played hard. Sometimes real hard. Single guys living on a beach in Florida. I mean, going to work was a way to take a break from partying.

Few guys I keep in touch with still. One was my best man. Another pair got married and made me a god parent to their kids. Group of 10 of us still have a fantasy football league together entering our 13th year.

2001. I was a sophomore in high school, and had a decent job on the weekends and evenings, though part time. I went to over 35 O's games that season (always the cheap seats, and I'd move down) because it was the first year I could drive. Looking back on it, I have no idea why my parents let me drive to Baltimore every night as a first time driver, but hey sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. Also, the Terps were amazing, the Ravens had just won the Super Bowl, and I got to quit playing football. It was a win all the way around. I used to rock the heck out of that Jerry Hairston jersey. Oh, and probably the last time I fit into a standard "L" sized shirt/jersey, lol.

My son was born, and Robert Andino broke the Red Sox.

That's a pretty good combo there.

This year has been pretty cool. Got a book published that seems to have done well, and the O's are in first place. Gonna see Guns N Roses in a few weeks, and have a national championship for the Vol football to look forward to.

I could go with a lot of years. '89 for Why Not. '93 first year of high school and hio hop music was amazing. '94 is when I met my wife (LOL) and rap was even better. '96 was great, the Orioles were fun to watch again, and that first season of Ravens football was fun (and a little weird) to experience. 2000 I turned 21 and the Ravens were awesome. 2002 I bought a house and got married. 2009 I went to Tahiti, Prague, Vienna and Budapest and had an awesome 30th birthday party. 2014 was awesome, went to Cozumel and the O's were great -- went to 20 games that year including all the home playoff games, game two of ALDS. But the years that really stand out for me are:

1995 - I got my drivers license and had that amazing sense of independence and freedom as a teenager. Hanging out with friends every day, playing whiffleball, working part time to have some money in my pocket, buying CD's, going to the movies, etc...The Browns announced their move to Baltimore. The OJ stuff was all happening. '95 was the first time I felt like an adult, even though i was only 16, and all this stuff was happening, both trivial and important, that would affect me and the world forever.

1997 - I graduated high school, the Orioles were awesome and I played American Legion baseball for Dewey Lowman. That was a great summer.

2012/13 - Orioles are winning! The Ravens win the freaking Super Bowl and I am there! Although I missed out on attending the O's playoffs because the wife and I were in France for an anniversary, I watched every pitch on my iPad. Aside from a few sleepless nights when they were playing, it was an awesome trip.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Good news... Come January, you will still be looking forward to that championship. ;)

2006 was probably it for me.

Sports wise, the Steelers won the Superbowl (sorry guys) and the Wizards were a lot of fun with the Arenas/Jamison/Butler teams around their peak. The O's weren't good, but this was probably the peak of me attending games because I had a little money and the freedom/ability to go to games.

It was my senior year of high school and I did a work release type program that meant I got out at 10:30 every morning. Most of my friends did as well and I only worked like 20 hours a week so we had a lot of fun. A friend of mine had a cabin in the middle of nowhere that allowed us all to discover just how much fun drinking heavily was that summer. I also started college, which started an obviously awesome 4 (and a half) years of my life. Things were good.

07 would be a close second. Started dating my now fiancee, took my still favorite vacation to the Dominican Republic, joined a fraternity that would shape the majority of my next 3 years, and actually lived on my own for the first time (not in a dorm).

Those 2 years were pretty clutch. 2016 ain't shaping up too bad, though.
