Funkhouser was drafted last year and decided to go back for his senior year. Turned down $2 mil.

I really haven't followed this draft much so I won't have much in opinion, but Nolan Jones would have seemed a reasonable pick even at 27. He falls to where you can take him with your second pick (wow)....and you draft a kid you could maybe get with your 3rd pick.
The baseball draft shouldn't be BPA on your board. You have to consider how guys on your board may line up with other teams. It's about how you can draft the most talent....drafting BPA could avoid that.

It seems as if they painted themselves into a corner by saying we have to draft pitching. I think that's a poor strategy. Take the best player. If their best player happened to be these kids, so be it...but I tend to doubt that was the case.

Can't really be mad at the top left handed starter in the draft that throws 91-96 mph with 3 other pitches.
