The answer to this if it's a band is The Beatles.
If it's just one man it's Bob Dylan -- he might be the most important artist of the 20th century and "Highway 61 Revisited" changed the world.
There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

Chuck Klosterman is great in general...
What's also great is that friggin' NASA sent a Chuck Berry recording of Johnny B. Goode out into the universe so space aliens could find it....

Whenever I hear about one guy suing another guy for swiping parts of his song, I just laugh at the whole thing... because if we took that idea seriously, Chuck Berry would be the richest man on the planet...
