Their ninth album just came out. A Moon Shaped Pool. Diving into it right now. Any thoughts?

They've been shit since Kid A

Disagree.

In Rainbows is their 3rd-4th best album depending on my mood.

King of Limbs is the only disappointment in their catalog and even that produced a couple of their best songs.

A moon shaped pool is fantastic. Best band of the past 20 years and they just keep evolving.

I thought In Rainbows was amazing as well and Hail to the Thief had some really some really strong tracks.

Codex is one of my favorites. I'm also a sucker for Radiohead piano ballads.

Agreed. Codex is an amazing song. Just listened to it earlier today.

Really digging this so far. Daydreaming and Decks Dark are my two favorite tracks so far.

I'm always blown away at everything going on instrumentally. So many layers and unique sounds.

Been listening to the album all week. I like it, but it's probably their third worst album, which is a compliment of the band's catalog.

OK Computer

The Bends

Kid A

Hail to the Thief

In Rainbows

Amnesiac

Moon Shaped Pool

King of Limbs

Pablo Honey

I like their early stuff. I'm not sophisticated enough to comprehend the later work.

OK Computer at 20.

Anniversary came and went unnoticed for me...but getting back into it now.

They also re-released OK Computer with a dozen or so previously unreleased songs from that era. The video for "I Promise" is here and sounds just as good as anything they've ever released.

Been on a Radiohead kick lately, so I've softened my stance on this.

I still think "The Bends" through "Kid A" is as good a three album effort as most bands ever (maybe Dylan, Springsteen and the Beatles did better)?  Maybe I was rough on them because those three albums are so good.  I still think their bottom 3-4 albums are all pretty bad.

Thief is OK, I guess.  But Amnesiac, King of Limbs and Pablo Honey I just can't get into.

But the top 3 are all 10/10 and In Rainbows is much much better than I originally gave it credit for.  Still really like Moon Shaped Pool too.

Happy, NMS?  Lol.

It goes:

-OK Computer
-Kid A
-The Bends
-Moon Shaped Pool
-In Rainbows
-Hail to the Thief
-King of Limbs
-Amnesiac
-Pablo Honey

I should also add that I think OK Computer is the second or third best album ever.

I probably posted this already but I go:

1. OK Computer - agreed with your assessment. One of the best albums of all time.

2. The Bends - This for me is when Radiohead became Radiohead.

3. Kid A - I could never really appreciate this as much as others but I have come around a lot throughout the years.

4. In Rainbows - Really loved the return to what felt like a studio album for them after some experimentation.

5. Hail to the Thief - Very underrated. Long, but very few misses.

6. Amnesiac - Some good atmospheric stuff. Feels like a B side album to Kid A.

7. A Moon Shaped Pool - Much better than KOL, still left me feeling underwhelmed.

8. King of Limbs - Codex is one of their best songs ever and Lotus Flower is a solid single, otherwise, nothing.

9. Pablo Honey - Is this really a Radiohead album?

“Sulk” is my favorite song from The Bends but it’s loaded with classics. Something about that song has always spoken to me. I also think one of their unreleased songs, “Bishop’s Robes” is one of their best from the Bends, OK Computer era.
