Well, it used to be a pretty fast game...
I mean, not in the Big Ten.

This was REALLY GOOD!
Even if you weren't around for it at the time, everybody knows what Phi Slamma Jamma was, and of course the 1983 title game.
It was super interesting to me, as for 33 years now, we've seen "the shot', but always from the NC State perspective, with the celebration, Valvano looking for someone to hug...etc. But seeing it from the Houston perspective was something I've never seen before. Drexler, Hakeem, Larry Micheaux, Reid Gettys, those guys still can't stand to watch it.
And then, Benny Anders!!!! (look on youtube if you don't know)
Anyway, check it out if you guys get a chance.

I like the conference. Not just because you have the two current powers at the top... but because the focus of the conference is basketball.
Teams 3-7 are all interesting. Seton Hall's success last year was interesting. Seems like they and St. John's have been labeled potential sleeping giants forever.

A lot of people are down on SHU because Isaiah Whitehead went to the NBA. I'm still higher on them than most (most people have them 6-7) just because they do return most of their team, including their four rising juniors that were in the same class as Whitehead.
Whitehead certainly carried that team throughout the conference tournament and in the NCAA's, but during the season, he would often try to take over games which resulted in some bad basketball at times, basically playing one-on-five. I don't think the team got better with him electing to go into the draft, but I don't think it is such a reach to say that they will be about where they were last year if they distribute more this season.
