I'm hearing that Florida transfer QB Will Grier is looking closely at Maryland. He's not eligible until 2017, but that would be a massive addition to help bridge the gap to whoever the QB of the future ends up being (Pigrome/other 2017 QB).

EDIT:

Maryland will hold its annual Red-White spring football game at newly renamed Maryland Stadium on April 16th, the school announced on Thursday morning.

Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. and will be followed by the fourth-ranked men's lacrosse team facing Rutgers at 4 p.m.

The spring game will serve as the public's first opportunity to get a look at the Terps under new football coach Durkin There will be a number of storylines to watch for -- including the competition for starting quarterback in new offensive coordinator Walt Bell's uptempo attack. Fans will also get a chance to get autographs from Durkin and the players after the game and the first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a exclusive spring game poster.

Free parking will be available in Lot Z/1.

FTFY. I read that Grier cannot serve the remainder of his PED suspension while he is sitting out under transfer rules, so he wouldn't be able to play until the middle of the 2017 season.

That said, by all means get him if he's interested. No such thing as too much talent at QB.

Maryland definitely has a great track record with QB transfers from Florida.

Durkin was his primary recruiter at UF. Grier might even know Walt Bell....he's from NC and was heavily recruited by UNC while Bell was there.

Pretty much the best possible news for MD.  Isn't in the Big Ten... isn't at Virginia, West VA, Pittsburgh...

Going to be rare to win head-to-head battles for recruits vs. Alabama anyway.

As it stands today, what is the most likely depth chart for the MD QB's?

IMS: Etta-Tawo to transfer...
http://maryland.247s...ansfer-44025640

Has some physical skills, but horrible hands.

Should've moved to CB.

Had him projected as the #2 Split End in 2016. This just means that Tino Ellis gets to make a more immediate impact there behind D.J. Moore. Not a big loss.

Lot of good information here...  interesting that Cockerille is getting reps at QB. Does sound like Hills is the leader as expected.

If nothing else, this year's squad might be more fun to watch than any in quite some time. If you can't play your ass off for Durkin, you better have your pulse checked asap.

Cockerille is moving from QB to LB. No big surprise here, I thought he might end up at TE, but LB gives him the best chance to get on the field. Added depth at the position.
