First episode of the FX Series aired tonight.

Was such a crazy story in real life. Surreal the attention it commanded. Can't imagine if it happened today.

Big cast for this...

It's getting good critical reviews. I wanted to watch, but I forgot it was on.

I have it on DVR.

I'll check it out tonight.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

OJ tangent...

Re: the helicopter guy who found the white Bronco and followed it down the road... he's famous because he pretty much invented the whole news-copter idea... plus, he got video of other things that are famous... well, as it turns out, he's an actual transparent... or, in other words, a she...

When she was a he, he was married and had 2 kids... one of whom is Katy Tur, who was on Ch4 in NYC and is now an MSNBC reporter... (so far, she hasn't drunk the TV-news kool-aid, we'll see how long that lasts)...

Looking forward to this, though not sure how much new information we'll learn.

Admittedly I was pretty obsessed with this when it was going on. Read a few books since over the years.

I'll DVR the whole series and binge watch it this spring most likely.

Katy Tur is a smoke show.

I feel series like this are best when binge watched.

Thankfully it's different from a series , as we know how it ends! I just have to try to ignore everyone today.

So this is what...the third time Cuba Gooding Jr. portrays a football player? (O.J., Radio, Jerry Maguire). He's either a football player or a military man (A Few Good Men, Men of Honor, Pearl Harbor). If he isn't typecast into one of those two roles he's easily forgotten.

I don't understand the great reviews for this (90 on metacritic last I saw). I did enjoy it but it's so over the top.

Anything with Travolta in it now days is bound to be over the top! The only thing Gooding Jr was good in was Jerry Maguire, hell even in Boys from the Hood he was outclassed by Ice Cube.

It was solid. Driven by nostalgia mostly.

I liked how they jump right in. Definitely nostalgia driven, but a hell of a cast though. I'll be interested to see what parts were embelished for television purposes. Like I didn't know he threatend to kill himself before getting into to bronco.

Feel like they made it a point to keep brining up the Kardashian kids names for no reason other than they are famous today.

I think it's been well done through one episode though.

The reviews I've read have talked about how the show uses the Kardashian kids to show the differences in the way celebrity was considered 20-plus years ago versus now. The Kardashians of 2016 could not truly have existed in 1994, and the Simpson trial was one of the foundations of what we now view as that kind of "reality-show" fame.

Had never known there were 2 Broncos... makes sense, but didn't put that together as a kid.
