I kinda wish I looked more like him...But I do want to get a jersey of his now too. Definitely would be there for a Kim support night.

I wonder how much if any of the Korean areas in Annandale and Columbia are paying attention to him and the Orioles as a result.

Don't forget about Woodlawn!

I think they'll catch up to Kim enough to make his poor defense question whether we need to add a decent LF. For now, I'm happy he's hitting so well and getting on base. Great compliment to the rest of the lineup

Can't really complain about what we've got, but imagine Kim AND Fowler in this line up.

Hyun Soo Kim may be forced onto the disabled list with a strained hamstring. The Orioles will decide within the next few days.

“Kim ran yesterday,” Showalter said. “Feels a little better. Not 100 percent yet. We’ll probably take that through Sunday and see where we are on it.

“If he said one more day (after Sunday), we’d wait another day, but after Wednesday is when you lose ... 10 days is the most you can backdate it. Counting today would be five. I could use him today if I had to.”

Kim likely to return Tuesday.

I am guessing that Alvarez returns to AAA and Borbon becomes the pinch runner, defensive caddy.

Here we are at game #30 and once again no Kim in the lineup. Today that isn't a surprise facing a tough lefty. But at this point Kim is batting .227 and his OBP is a mere .306.  And his "slugging" % is a woeful .318. Given that his defense isn't very good I have to wonder if his days are limited? Certainly he is a better hitter than what he's show so far but he is so one dimensional I just don't know if that one dimension is valuable enough?

The O's are going to have to make some decisions in the not too distant future.

Yeah, I'm ready to trade him. Put Mancini out there. Also, rather carry Santander over Kim when he is ready. .

I agree. I've never seen Santander play, but apparently the Orioles like his potential future with the bat. Kim has no place in Baltimore with this organization. Go with the potential for the future if Kim's only going to play a couple times a week anyways.

Been saying from the beginning that Kim is the odd man out.   He's in trouble when either of these two things happen.

1. Michael Bourn is ready

2. Anthony Santander is ready

I think the end game is to use the Norfolk shuttle to carry the extra player and assuming he ever gets healthy, that's Santander who Buck sounds very high on.

He is an under used player that has to have value in the league.

I would also trade him.  I would hate to see him go but unless Buck doesn't believe in Mancini but is just riding out a hot streak with him, I don't see the playing time for him increasing over time, especially for the reasons RZ just said.

He doesn't have much value. You wouldn't get anything for him. Maybe a guy on a teams 40 man that they are getting ready to DFA anyway. Some AAA lottery ticket arm. I honestly think he might clear waivers if exposed.

I think I would see just what value I could get for him. He isn't going to be with the O's next year almost certainly. And its not like the really need him this year. We have plenty of guys who can play LF plausibly and right now you have to get Mancini into the lineup most everyday. See what the kid can do over a long stretch. And IF he can become an acceptable everyday LFer then that gives the O's a huge boost in payroll with him being so cost controlled.
