He's been saying he is gonna retire, but maybe he comes back.

 

Not a lot of roster spots available for the a DH who can only hit lefties, though.

True, but he is Albert Pujols, back with St. Louis, so maybe.

 

I guess it depends on how much 700 means to him.

Yesterday he came in as a pinch hitter in the 3rd inning. Non-injury related. Don't see that every day. 

 

He hit a grand slam. 

 

They are marketing this season as the farewell tour for he, Wainwright, and Molina. Wainwright doesn't look like a guy that should be hanging it up anytime soon either. 4 of his last 5 starts he went 7.0 IP or more with 1 ER or less.

I respect that.  Pujols career will be first ballot worthy no matter if he has 699 or 701.  Hell he should be unanimous.

The other thing Pujols has done is push his bWAR above 100 for his career.  That didnt look likely either but 1.1 this year
