And a thread about crappy pizza has turned political.

I've never liked Domino's, it's probably the only pizza that I would prefer not to eat.

Pizza Hut I kind of love or hate.  If I'm in the mood for it I think it's great, but if not then I really don't want it.  I do like the stuffed crust.

I like Papa John's most of the time, especially with the garlic sauce for the crust.

So for me it's

Papa John's

Pizza Hut

Domino's

Would like to add that my son loves Papa John's.  And we've had a tradition in my family for some time that my Mom has us all over on Wednesday nights for pizza.  And Nick is very aware of the Papa John's 50% off deal if the Orioles win and score 5 runs or more, and that Mom will get Papa John's if that is the case.

So today I called my wife to let him know that we'd be having Papa John's tonight.  She said oh, he already knew.  He woke up this morning and the first thing he asked was if the Orioles won and how many runs they scored.  He's very aware of what day it is, haha.

Have you had Domino's in the last few years? It's solid for what it is imo. I don't really see how it can be considered that much worse than the other places.

Btw, needing garlic sauce is a sign of crappy crust.

Should I have not answered his question?

p.s.  It's only political if you think treating employees like dirt is political....

I tried it about a year ago... I figured maybe they changed for the better... I found it as bland as ever... but taste is very subjective... if you like it, that's what matters...

I saw a t-shirt when I was a kid.  It said, "Pizza is a lot like sex. Even when it's bad, it's still pretty good."

I don't care for Dominos any longer. Of these options, I'd go with Pizza Hut. They run better deals than Papa John's, and it's very good.  Certainly, there's local options that I prefer over the chains, particularly when it's wood-fired.

Yeah I've tried it since they "re-formulated" it, I still think it's pretty terrible.  If you guys think Pizza Hut and Papa John's pizza tastes similar to Domino's, then I don't blame you for being pizza snobs.

To me this is like comparing Bud, Miller, and Coors. People will have their preferences, but none of them are good, and any talk of one of them being greatly better or worse than the others seems a bit silly to me.

Agree.  Except Coors Light is the worst.

Actually had it like a month or so ago when Heston threw that no-hitter.  Underwhelming would be an understatement to describe it, though it was a free pizza.

Ooooh, are we now getting into which lite/light beer is better then the others and then we can have the beer snobs chime in about double-chocolate oatmeal stouts brewed with malt from Peru, barley from George Washington's private stash, and yeast taken out of ufo's at Area-51 with cocoa beans grown at the top of Mt. Everest, all fermented for 69 months?

Can't do Miller Light. For some reason it immediately gives me a headache. Bud Light is my preference. Superior drinkability/AKA a lot easier to pound for some reason. But I can do Coors Light too.
