I've debated this topic with MANY a person.  I'm not exaggerating, this is a legitimate source of conflict between people here.

As to which is better, I've eaten at both hundreds of times and I can definitively say that Chipotle is the superior option.  Chipotle is much better about seasoning their meats, their salsas, and their food in general.  Additionally, the tortillas are handled differently resulting in a more robust wrap for the good stuff while Qdoba's have a tendency to be overly soft, bland, and fall apart.  The only thing Qdoba has over Chipotle is the addition of the queso sauce, which adds an interesting element, but they're inferior in every other area.  That extra bit of cheesy spiciness doesn't make enough of a difference to secure the victory.

Chipotle is overrated like some sauce and I've only had Qdoba once and was very unimpressed.

Is there an option-C?

Baja Fresh, Moe's?

Taco Bell's owners have launched a Chipolte / Qdoba type place called US Taco... don't think any are around here.

There is: Pancheros.  Their gimmick is that the bake they tortillas fresh with the batter on the grill in front of you, but they kinda suck in general.  There's one in Towson apparently, but I would not recommend.

Also, California Tortilla is the best. I'm still upset they closed their downtown store.

Replaced by a damn Chipotle.

Was just about to say this. We still have one in Bowie though.

Aren't they the ones with the wall of like 400 hot sauces?

Moe's?

I would definitely frequent this establishment over all the other options in this thread:

Chipotle and it's not even close. Cmon Stoner, spell it right.

Chicken, white rice, mild and medium, sour cream, corn, cheese, lettuce and a salad dressing.

I actually like Qdoba and I'll go to it for a change of pace, but Chipotle is much superior.

I used to be a bigger California Tortilla fan, it's not bad but I feel like I can get better value for the same money elsewhere like Chipotle. Also a reason I've stopped going to places like Cosi's. They aren't bad per se, just other places which are around the same amount of money that deliver a better product.

Yep. Their queso is money too, which is what really swings it for me. I don't like cilantro, and Chipotle is swimming in it. I liked Moe's a lot too, but they closed the one by us.

How is this not bigger news?  The one thing you could say Qdoba had over them is null now.
