Is Ricker more excited about UVA at 5 or MD at 12?

I'm surprised people think he will still be coaching 5 years from now. I mean it's possible, but he's 68 years old. He has nothing left to accomplish. Could step away at anytime.

When winning is what drives you, you always have things to accomplish.

What super successful coach isn't driven by winning?  The ones who are so successful that they have tenure all decide to hang it up sometime.

Sounds like a Chevy slogan.

In other news, the house always wins. :jerkoff emoticon
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Sure, he will hang it up sometime but if you love what you do and your health allows you to do it, no reason to stop doing it.

Not to mention, his teams are going to be loaded in the new future.

I see a post season clash between MD and Duke going down a time or two over these next few years.

Yea but it won't be "planned" at all...cause you know, they never do that!

Md should be higher than 12 but whatever. Turg and UA are making huge inroads in the recruiting game. Gone are the days of hoping for 1 top 100 recruit and hoping some 2and 3 star lottery tickets can become the next Lonny Baxter and Juan Dixon.

It baffles me how people never saw MDs full potential and how much Gary was blowing it his last 7 or 8 years here. This was always going to happen with Turge or any coach willing to put in the work. I mean yes, Turge still has to prove he can make the talent mesh but over half the battle is won by getting the talent here. You have to have the talent first and foremost.

Not until they prove it but your point is well taken.

Great resources and recruiting backyard.
