I became a fan of the Spurs as a kid pretty much because of George Gervin. Still, it surprised me that he got a lot of love in this piece (although it did factor his ABA years). I figured his lack of shooting range and defense wouldn't really have him in the conversation. I was also a bit surprised that Drexler didn't figure into the conversation more than he did.

I'm too young to remember Gervin, but Drexler was a beast.
