Ok, we have set a draft date that I believe all 12 owners will be able to make.

 

This Sunday, August 30th.  I set 6:30pm for now.  We had 10/12 say yes initially for the 30th and both the no's (myself and OrioleReport) conversed and think we can make it work despite less than ideal circumstances.

 

I can change the time if 6:30pm is problematic, let me know if that is an issue for anybody.  But for now, plan on 6:30pm this Sunday August 30th for our draft.  Order is like the NFL does it: worst record from last season (ties decided by point total) with the runner-up and champ getting the final two choices.

I'll defer to Commissioner Jeremy, but I'd say no.  If someone gets hurt in the preseason games this weekend, they're still getting kept as well.

I agree here. I didn't want to extend the keeper deadline, Mack talked me into it. Don't think its fair to everyone else as the preseason goes on to be stuck with who they have if an injury or something happens to them. Not that big of a deal, but you have to have a line in the sand.

Edit:  Just poking around, I see that one team only kept 1 dude.  Was that an option?  I would've dropped 2 of my guys if so.

No, it wasn't supposed to be an option, everyone was supposed to keep 3.

Not keeping isn't a benefit. Additional picks come at the end of the draft.

Good luck with that. I might be looking to move Gio at best.

If you can't tell, my strategy was take a lot of young RBs with upside and hope one sticks. Trying to think long term in this league. I hated having to take Randle, I don't trust him.

I can set it to allow draft pick trading so I went ahead and did that.

 

If I go to try and make a trade now, we can indeed offer up next year's draft picks, rounds 1 through 15.  Yahoo automatically sets it up so picks must be traded in equal numbers (i.e. nobody can obtain more than 15 picks since that's the max roster side).  I think we'll have to monitor ourselves to makes sure nobody trades one of their top 3 picks, since we use the first 3 rounds as our keepers (and if you keep fewer, you get an extra pick on the back end, not before others make their 4th round pick).

 

I think this will work, but if anyone notices any issues, let me know.

 

And let me know if you want any of the few players on my squad who are not shitty!  Looking to acquire picks or better keepers for next year (out-for-the-year guys like Foster or Charles interest me greatly).
